Duties and Essential Responsibilities
- – Gather, document, and analyze business requirements to support digital transformation initiatives.
- – Translate stakeholder needs into clear, actionable user stories, acceptance criteria, and process documentation aligned with business objectives and best practices.
- – Develop and maintain process workflows, performing gap analysis to recommend improvements.
- – Convert business and technical requirements into functional solutions while effectively managing customer expectations.
- – Collaborate closely with developers, stakeholders, and project teams to ensure alignment with project objectives.
- – Create and maintain user stories, epics, and backlog requirements, ensuring adherence to Agile methodology principles.
- – Utilize Jira for project tracking and task management.
- – Create process maps, swimlane diagrams, and system architecture visuals using tools such as Microsoft Visio, Draw.io, or Lucidchart.
- – Assist with user acceptance testing (UAT) and validation efforts by supporting test case development and ensuring alignment with business requirements.
- – Maintain comprehensive documentation, including business requirement documents (BRDs), functional specifications, and release notes.
- – Support change management efforts by providing training resources, facilitating knowledge transfer, and enabling user adoption.
- – Act as a liaison between business and technical teams, fostering clear communication and managing stakeholder expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
Technical Skills & Expertise
- – 3–5 years of experience in business analysis, with a strong background in process modeling, system analysis, and requirements gathering.
- – Proficient in JIRA, Confluence, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, and SharePoint for requirements management, documentation, and collaboration.
- – Skilled in creating workflow diagrams, process maps, and data flow diagrams using Microsoft Visio, Draw.io, and Lucidchart.
- – Expertise in writing user stories, use cases, acceptance criteria, BRDs, FRDs, and traceability matrices.
- – Strong understanding of Agile principles; experienced in backlog grooming, sprint planning, and supporting daily stand-ups.
- – Ability to perform data validation, profiling, and basic SQL queries to support decision-making and requirements refinement.
- – Experience in developing test plans, supporting UAT, and coordinating with QA teams for defect triaging and validation.
- – Excellent at conducting stakeholder interviews, leading requirements workshops, and managing stakeholder expectations.
- – Familiarity with organizational change frameworks and user training strategies to support solution adoption.
- – Knowledge of industry standards such as Section 508, and alignment with government digital services guidelines.
- – Exposure to platforms such as Salesforce, Appian, and other large-scale enterprise applications.
Minimum Education & Certifications
- – Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field from an accredited university or college.
- – Certifications (Preferred): Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), Scrum Master Certification or other Agile-related certification
- – Clearance: Must be able to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance.
